Enhancement Disclosure.

How we classify, detect, and communicate gemstone treatments and enhancements — ensuring full transparency for every stone analysed.

Enhancement Disclosure

Full Transparency, Always.

Every gemstone in commerce may have undergone some form of treatment or enhancement. Our role is to detect these treatments using scientific methods and disclose them clearly, precisely, and without ambiguity.

We use a layered disclosure system that communicates both the type of treatment and the degree of certainty. Our language follows LMHC harmonised disclosure protocols, ensuring consistency with the world's leading laboratories.

Treatment assessment relies on multi-instrument analysis: FTIR for polymer/resin detection, UV-Vis for colour-origin analysis, Raman for inclusion characterisation, and microscopy for heat-related internal features.

No Enhancement Detected

No evidence of any treatment or enhancement was detected by the analytical methods employed.

No indications of treatment

Minor Enhancement

Routine treatments that are widely accepted and expected by the industry (e.g., minor oil in emerald, low-temperature heat in sapphire).

Heated (low temperature)

Significant Enhancement

Treatments that materially alter appearance, durability, or value — requiring explicit disclosure.

Heated with flux residues
Glass-filled

Common Treatment Types.

Treatment Applicable Gems Detection Method Report Language
